Lehman Brothers LEH.N appointed Bart McDade as president and chief operating officer and Ian Lowittas chief financial officer. Lowittas was previously the co-chief administrative officer.
Markit appointed Marcus Schuler as managing director, sales and marketing, based in London. Schuler will report to Shane Akeroyd and Mike Rushmore, global co-heads of sales and marketing. He joins Markit from Deutsche Bank where he was managing director and head of integrated credit marketing in Europe for close to four years.

Deutsche Boerse’s (DB1Gn.DE) supervisory board is set to appoint Andreas Preuss, head of the group’s derivatives business Eurex, as deputy chief executive officer, a financial industry source said on Monday. [ID:nL16171515]

Commercial lender CIT Group Inc (CIT.N) on Monday named Alexander Mason president and chief operating officer. Mason will report to Jeffrey Peek, chairman and chief executive of CIT. He will be responsible for the company’s technology, sales and business development.
Mason, who has held executive positions at Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust, was most recently vice chairman and chief operating officr of Mercantile Bankshares Corp until its March 2007 acquisition by PNC Financial Services Group (PNC.N). [ID:nN16469469]

Maguire Properties Inc MPG.N said on Monday Chief Financial Officer Martin Griffiths will step down effective June 30, as part of a revamping of the office space owner’s senior management. Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton has appointed Paul Cooper to tax partner in the firm’s London transactions tax team.
Paul, who joined Grant Thornton in June this year, was previously a director at Terra Firma, the private equity fund and an M&A tax partner at KPMG.
Saxo Bank has appointed Torben Rene Larsen as executive director and global head of VIP clients and Stephan Martinussen as global head of partner sales. Stephan Martinussen was previously head of global solutions at Saxo Bank.
Both Torben Rene Larsen and Stephan Martinussen will report directly to Albert Maasland, senior executive director and head of Europe.
The Wharf Holdings Ltd appointed Yiu Cheung Tsui director, executive director and chief financial officer effective 16 June 2008. Tsui has been a director of Wheelock and Company Ltd since 1998 and was an executive director of Wheelock since 2003.
Ambrian Capital Plc AMBN.L has hired a new physical metals team to complement its London Metal Exchange broker-dealer business, the company said on Monday.
