Dec 31 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 2100 GMT on Monday.

** Billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian’s Tracinda Corp will pay $684 million to acquire a 35 percent stake in Delta Petroleum Corp DPTR.O, the independent oil and gas company said.

** South Korea’s SK Networks (001740.KS) said it would invest 203 billion won ($216.9 million) to acquire a 45 percent stake in a Chinese state-run copper company. [nSEO212816]

** International Business Machines Corp (IBM.N) is in advanced talks to buy Israeli start-up XIV Information Systems for $300 million to $350 million, financial daily Globes reported. [nL31559142]

** Spanish infrastructure firm Abertis ABE.MC said it had agreed to pay 201.6 million euros ($296.7 million) for logistics facilities owned by real estate company Colonial (COL.MC). [nL31488740]

** Israel Discount Bank (DSCT.TA) said it had signed an agreement to buy 11 percent of Kardan Financial Services (KFS), the financing subsidiary of Kardan NV (KRNV.TA), for 55.6 million euros ($81.79 million). [nL31367572]

** Merrill Lynch MER.N and Dutch insurer Aegon NV (AEGN.AS) (AEG.N) said that they finalized a deal to form a strategic relationship, and that Aegon completed its acquisition of Merrill’s life insurance units. [nWEN3192]

** Israel’s Magic Software Enterprises Ltd (MGIC.O) said it is selling its wholly owned subsidiary Advanced Answers on Demand (AOD) to Fortissimo Capital for $17 million in cash. [nL31330160]

** Troubled Austrian developer Meinl European Land MELV.VI will postpone to the first half of 2008 a restructuring and possible sale of its business, which had been flagged for this year, the company said. [nL31401641]

** Singapore’s United Overseas Bank (UOBH.SI) has sought permission to double its holding in Vietnam’s Southern Commercial Bank to 20 percent, the Vietnamese bank said in a statement. [nHAN342731]

** Transmeridian Exploration Inc TMY.A said it agreed to merge with Trans Meridian International Inc, a British Virgin Islands company formed by its chief executive officer, Lorrie Olivier. [nBNG19119]

** Apparel retailer Koutons Retail India Ltd KRIL.BO said its board has approved acquiring DBG Retail Holdings Ltd, but did not disclose financial details. [nBMB000257]

** Single-family home builder M/I Homes Inc (MHO.N) said it has sold land in its Florida markets to help reduce debt, and is exiting the West Palm Beach market, where its assets included about 500 lots in four communities. [nWNAS5413]
