UPDATE 1-MOVES-Lehman Brothers, BNY Mellon Asset Management

The insurance broker appointed Angus Cameron as chief financial officer of Marsh UK. Cameron will join Marsh on Aug. 18, reporting to both Martin South, chief executive oficer of Marsh U.K. and Marc Vassanelli, chief financial officer of Marsh in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Most recently Cameron was chief financial officer of Depfa Bank, the Dublin-based provider of financial services to the public sector worldwide, which was acquired by Hypo Real Estate Bank last October.


The investment bank named Michael Samaha co-head of Middle East and North Africa sales and business development for Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM).

Samaha, based in the firm’s office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), will work with Morgan Stanley Saudi Arabia to build MSIM’s distribution capabilities in the Kingdom and further develop MSIM’s joint venture with the National Bank of Kuwait.


The Islamic investment bank in Britain, a unit of Kuwait’s Securities House (SECH.KW), appointed Mourad Mekhail as managing director of institutional wealth management.

Mekhail will head the placement team for institutional wealth management products, which includes structured instruments and fund products, catering primarily to a client base of Islamic institutional investors and sophisticated quasi-institutional (private office) investors.


The global investment bank said Samir Bhandari will head fixed income corporate sales, Asia-Pacific ex-Japan. He will be based in Singapore. John Goff will be head of corporate structuring, Asia-Pacific ex-Japan. Goff, based in Hong Kong, will provide product content and structuring support to the Risk Solutions Group and to the Corporate Sales team.


The asset management unit of Bank of New York Mellon Corp (BK.N) appointed Luke O’Donnell as senior account manager in its pooled pension & DC group. Based in London, O’Donnell will report to Ian Harvey, Head of pooled pensions.


The unit of Dutch bank ING GROUP ING.AS appointed Wilson Lee to its global opportunistic investment platform as European managing director and portfolio manager.
