SOCIETE GENERALE CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING (SOGN.PA)
Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking said it named De Doan Tran head of its activities in Asia-Pacific, and head of the corporates, institutions and advisory division across this region, effective September.
Tran succeeds Michel Macagno, who has moved to London following his appointment as global head of financial institutions group.
Tran joined Societe Generale in 1984 and his last posting was global head of financial institutions group in the corporates, institutions and advisory division.
The investment bank said it named Francesco Caio as chairman of its European advisory board.
Caio, who since September 2006 has served as vice chairman of Lehman Brothers in Europe, replaces Christopher Tugendhat, who will stand down at year end from the board after spending six years in the role.
Peggy Bruzelius, who has acted as an adviser to Lehman Brothers in Sweden and is currently vice chairman of AB Electrolux (ELUXb.ST) and chairman of Lancelot Asset Management, will join the Lehman board with immediate effect.
New York Life International LLC, the international arm of New York Life Insurance Co, said John Harrison has been promoted to vice chairman of New York Life International.
Harrison, who joined New York Life in 2006 as chief executive officer of the Asia region, will continue in that post.
Rabobank International said it had set up a fund derivatives team, which includes managing director Boon Yong Leo, in Asia.
Also joining the team as director is Xavier Ducros, who earlier worked as director, global structured fund products and as head Asia, structured solutions in HSBC (HSBA.L) (global market) in 2006-07.
Janice Leung joins as senior officer.
The insurance broker and risk adviser said it named Adrian Willmott sales leader for its national business in the southern zone, which encompasses the South of England.
Willmott joins Marsh from Willis, where he was regional development director for the central region.
Citi Property Investors, the global real estate investment management business of Citi Alternative Investments, said international real estate investor Shanti Sen has joined the firm as managing director, head of merchant banking.
Sen joins from the Government of Singapore Investment Corp, where she was senior vice president, head of corporate investment group.
The financial services firm said it named Saurabh Nanavati chief executive officer, Religare AEGON AMC division.
Prior to joining Religare, he was with HDFC Standard Life Insurance, India, as chief investment officer.
The fund manager said it named Luke Hickmore as investment director, corporate bonds.
