DBS GROUP (DBSM.SI)
Singapore’s DBS Group said it appointed Chng Sok Hui as chief financial officer, effective in October and replacing Jeanette Wong.

NORTHERN TRUST CORP (NTRS.O)
The financial services firm hired Martin Korst as senior relationship manager for the Netherlands. Korst joins from Kyte Group.
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND (RBS.L)
Britain’s second-biggest bank appointed Richard Griffiths, Ivan Li and Tammy Wan to ABN AMRO’s M&A team as corporate executive directors. Michael Niederberger joins the corporate finance group as corporate director. These appointments are based in Hong Kong.
The Dutch-Belgian lender named Barend Janssens head of the future Fortis Private Banking Asia Pacific, and eight investment professionals to the new Private Banking Asia leadership team, effective Jan. 1, 2009.
The insurance broker and risk adviser, part of Marsh & McLennan Cos Inc (MMC.N), appointed Maurice Jeanbart as chief financial officer for Asia. He will be based in Singapore.
