Global investment bank Lehman Brothers said it named Masanori Maruo managing director and Japan utilities analyst.
Maruo, who will be based in Tokyo, joins from Deutsche Securities.
Pictet Asset Management, the institutional division of the Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie, said it named Wee-Ming Ting head of Asian fixed income team in Singapore.
Before joining Pictet, Wee-Ming Ting worked as a senior portfolio manager for the Investment Company of the People’s Republic of China.
The Financial Services Authority said it named Chris Pond, currently chief executive for the National Council of One Parent Families, as director of financial capability, effective December.
This is a new position within the FSA, which regulates the financial services industry.
Bear Stearns International Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bear Stearns Co Inc BSC.N, said it named Jenny Miller senior managing director and head of portfolio trading sales, Europe. Miller joins from Merrill Lynch MER.N.
Carnegie said Chief Financial Officer Ulf Fredrixon was leaving the firm in the wake of a trading scandal at the investment bank. [nSAT004598]
Wachovia Securities said it named Michael Collins managing director and head of its corporate equity derivatives origination team.

Investment company Olivant Ltd said it named Mitchel Lenson as a partner, effective Oct. 1.
Lenson joins Olivant from Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE).
PMI Mortgage Insurance Co, the U.S. subsidiary of the PMI Group Inc PMI.N, said it named Dan Nicoll as vice president of government sponsored enterprises.
Nicoll joins PMI from Fannie Mae FNM.N.
Venture capital firm Charles River Ventures said Mark Jacobstein has joined as an entrepreneur in residence.
