Feb 13 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 1430 GMT on Wednesday.

** Digital camera and medical equipment maker Fujifilm Holdings Corp (4901.T) said it will spend up to 155 billion yen ($1.45 billion) to take control of Toyama Chemical Co 4518.T as it seeks a foothold in the pharmaceuticals market.

** French bank Societe Generale (SOGN.PA) has closed a deal to buy about 30 percent of Russia’s Rosbank (ROSB.MM) from the Russian firm KM-Invest for $1.7 billion, the firm said. [nL13568941]

** Japanese communications satellite firm and pay TV broadcaster Sky Perfect JSAT Corp (9412.T) said it would acquire rival Space Communications Corp for about $261 million to cope better with tough industry competition. [nT286143]

** Answers Corp ANSW.O, which operates online information site Answers.com, said it terminated its proposed common stock public offering, casting doubt over its ability to fund the acquisition of the parent of reference Web site, Dictionary.com. [nBNG187605]

** Russian long-distance telecoms provider Rostelekom (RTKM.MM) ROS.N said it would tender all of its 11 percent stake in fixed-line operator Golden Telecom GLDN.O to Vimpelcom VIP.N. [nL13891716]

** Norwegian engineering group Aker Kvaerner AKVER.OL said it bought Finnish RR Offshore and sold its shares in Russian shipyard Astrakhan Korabel yard to Russian group ST Holdings. [nOSO001113]

** Qatar Holding LLC has sold its entire holding in Nordic and Baltic bourse operator OMX OMX.ST, the target of a bid by Borse Dubai, a regulatory filing showed on Wednesday. [nSAT004953]

** Precious metals company Hecla Mining Co (HL.N) agreed to acquire all the assets of Independence Lead Mines Co. ILDS.PK, located in northern Idaho’s Silver Valley. [nWNAS0766]

** Malaysian state-controlled builder UEM World UEMW.KL suspended trading in its shares on Wednesday, pending a major corporate deal. [nKLR139186]

** Workforce management software provider Workstream Inc WSTM.O agreed to merge with Empagio, a provider of payroll and human resources software, the companies said. [nWNAS0739]
