RBC Capital Markets said it was establishing an expanded ECM and corporate broking team within its global investment banking group in Europe, to be headed by Josh Critchley.
Formerly with Goldman Sachs, Critchley will be based in RBC’s London office and will report to Patrick Meier, head of global investment banking, Europe.
RBC Capital also hired Stefanie Holtze, previously with JPMorgan Chase, as director in FX Sales. Stefanie will be based in RBC’s Hong Kong office.

J.P. Morgan appointed James Walker as head of investments for private clients in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Walker will be based in Geneva.
Actant, a provider of automated quote management and trading solutions, appointed Lars Hjaltman, previously with Electronic Shipping Solutions, as head of development.
He will be based in the UK but operating in Actant’s major markets across Europe and the US.
Future Capital Partners appointed Trevor Castledine, previously with Royal Bank of Scotland, as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Grant Thornton UK LLP, a finance and business advisor, appointed Richard O’Dwyer, previously with KPMG, as a restructuring partner within its recovery & reorganisation team.
O’Dwyer will focus on creditor advisory engagements and specialise in large complex multi-stakeholder mandates, Grant Thornton said.
HSBC Bank (China) Co Ltd appointed Helen Wong as its new deputy chief executive officer with immediate effect. The bank said she has also been appointed director of the board of HSBC China. (Compiled by Koustav Samanta in Bangalore)
