Sept 5 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 2000 GMT on Friday.

** Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (005930.KS), the world’s top maker of memory chips, said it may buy flash memory maker SanDisk SNDK.O, which is valued at $3.2 billion, in a deal that could reshape a struggling industry.

** Philip Morris International (PM.N) said it will extend its offer of about C$2 billion to buy Canada’s No. 2 cigarette maker, Rothmans Inc ROC.TO, to Sept 16, pending a Canadian regulatory review. [ID:nN05506875]

** Dell Inc DELL.O is trying to sell computer factories around the world in efforts to cut cost and improve profitability, the Wall Street Journal said. [ID:nBNG84395]

** Drugmaker Alpharma Inc (ALO.N), which is fighting off a $1.4 billion takeover bid from King Pharmaceuticals Inc KG.N, has outlined details of a previously announced shareholder rights plan. [ID:nN05473920]

** Cigarette company Altria Group Inc (MO.N) is in advanced talks to buy Skoal and Copenhagen smokeless tobacco maker UST Inc (UST.N), a source familiar with the discussions told Reuters. [ID:nBNG244263]

** A consortium led by Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp (8002.T) is poised to win an auction to buy Singapore’s Temasek-owned Senoko Power, with an offer of more than S$3.5 billion ($2.4 billion), sources said. [nSIN296167]

** Blackstone Group LP (BX.N) and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co [KKR.UL] are each looking to buy parts of Lehman’s LEH.N real estate and asset management units, sources familiar with the situation said. [ID:nN05258522]

** The cost to insure debt of Lehman Brothers LEH.N rose amid doubts about the likelihood of an acquisition of the investment bank by state-controlled Korea Development Bank [KDB.UL]. [ID:nN05416382]

** Teranet Income Fund TF_u.TO said it has formed a special committee to examine a hostile takeover bid by Borealis Infrastructure Management, worth more than more than C$2 billion ($1.9 billion). [ID:nN05466570]

** Phase Forward Inc PFWD.O, a provider of software used in collecting drug trial information, said it bought a privately held provider of web-enabled clinical-trial management technology, Clarix LLC, for $40 million in cash to enhance its product offering. [ID:nBNG213151]

** GDF Suez GSZ.PA is in exclusive talks with the Dutch NAM oil venture, owned by Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L)(RDSb.L) and Exxon Mobil (XOM.N), to buy offshore assets worth 1.075 billion euros ($1.54 billion), the French utility said. [ID:nL5608892]
