Sept 2 (Reuters) - Business software maker CA Inc (CA.O) said its Chief Executive John Swainson will retire by the end of this year.
The company, which reiterated its fiscal 2010 guidance, said it formed a committee of board of directors to look for a successor.
Swainson will remain CEO and a director of the company during the transition and plans to step down as a board member upon his retirement, the company said in a statement.
Shares of the company were up about 1 percent at $22.07 in trading after the bell. They closed at $21.86 Tuesday on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Shrutika Verma in Bangalore; Editing by Anil D'Silva)
