June 17 (Reuters) - Business software maker Novell Inc NOVL.O said a top executive of worldwide sales will leave the company and reiterated its 2008 revenue forecast for the second time in less than a month.
Novell said Thomas Francese, executive vice president of worldwide sales, will leave the company, effective July 31, and that the position will be eliminated after his departure.
The company, which is the world's second-largest seller of Linux software after Red Hat Inc (RHT.N), sees 2008 revenue of $940 million to $970 million. Analysts expect $958.6 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
Shares of the company fell more than 2 percent to $6.21 in trading after the bell. They closed at $6.36 in regular trade Tuesday on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Sweta Singh in Bangalore; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
