Nov 7 (Reuters) - Fannie Mae FNM.N said on Wednesday it was concerned about the allegations made against First American Corp (FAF.N: Cotización) by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo related to a probe of the home mortgage industry.
If true, the appraisal practices described in the complaint would violate Fannie Mae's requirements for loans it purchases from lenders or securitizes, the company said.
The letter is relating to a complaint against First American about its appraisal practices, Fannie Mae said in a statement. (Reporting by Ankur Relia in Bangalore, Editing by Deepak Kannan)
