UPDATE 3-Deals of the day -- mergers and acquisitions

Jan 28 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 2100 GMT on Monday.

** Alliance Data Systems Corp (ADS.N), a provider of transaction, credit and marketing services, said its $6.76 billion buyout by private equity firm Blackstone Group LP (BX.N) is in jeopardy.

** Moody’s Corp (MCO.N), the parent of credit rating agency Moody’s Investors Service, said it acquired BQuotes to provide better price quotations for fixed-income securities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. [nN28162090]

** Savings bank La Caixa said on it had agreed to buy Morgan Stanley’s (MS.N) Spanish private banking unit and planned to keep growing until it was the country’s biggest wealth manager. [nBAR863635]

** Landry’s Restaurants Inc LNY.N said it received an acquisition offer from its chief executive, Tilman Fertitta, for $23.50 a share in cash, in a deal valued at $1.3 billion. [nBNG160153]

** Tenaris (TENR.MI) (TENA.BA) (TS.N), a leading maker of pipes for the energy industry, said it agreed to sell Hydril pressure control business to General Electric Co (GE.N) for $1.115 billion on a debt-free basis. [nN28435156]

** Private equity firm Sun Capital Securities Group LLC, which launched a takeover bid for Kellwood Co KWD.N, said it is pleased with the apparel company’s decision to remove barriers to the bid and allow shareholders to decide whether they want to accept it. [nWNAS7986]

** Murphy Oil Corp (MUR.N) wants to sell heavy oil properties in Saskatchewan that produce about 3,500 barrels a day, a move that comes as the company bids to expand its Canadian production with a big gas play in British Columbia. [nN28476270]

** Inverness Medical Innovations Inc IMA.A said it would buy Matria Healthcare Inc (MATR.O), a provider of disease management programs, for $900 million. [nWNAS7950]

** Sears Holdings Corp (SHLD.O) said it may still be interested in evaluating a transaction with Restoration Hardware Inc RSTO.O, even though the high-end home goods chain has already accepted a management-led buyout. [nN28454827]

** Straits Trading (STCM.SI) said that family-owned Tecity Group has raised its offer for the commodities and property company, as a fight between two banking families for one of Singapore’s oldest trading houses escalates. [nSIN70384]

** Chinese oil firm CNOOC Ltd (0883.HK) has sold a 3.06 percent interest in Indonesia’s Tangguh liquefied natural gas (LNG) project to Canada’s Talisman Energy TLM.TO for US$212.5 million, it said in a statement. [nHKG85759]

** PayPal, a unit of online auctioneer eBay (EBAY.O), said that it would acquire Israel’s Fraud Sciences Ltd in an all-cash deal worth about $169 million. [nWNAS7945]

** Nokia NOK1V.HE said it will offer 843 million Norwegian crowns ($153 million) for all the shares in loss-making Norwegian mobile software firm Trolltech TROLL.OL to support its new push into services and software. [nL28519714]

** Diageo (DGE.L), the world’s biggest alcoholic drinks maker, said it had agreed to buy Californian wine maker Rosenblum Cellars for $105 million. [nL28513468]

** Malaysian oil services firm Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd (PPTB.KL) plans to buy SJR Marine Ltd from Singapore’s Mercury Pacific Marine Pte Ltd for $42 million, Perisai Petroleum said. [nKLA007039]

** French supermarkets group Casino (CASP.PA) is to raise its stake in Super De Boer SDB.AS to 51 percent, it said. Casino, which now owns 45 percent of Super de Boer, said it would buy 7 million more shares for 3.8 euros per share or 27 million euros ($39.6 million) in total. [nL28642080]

** Internet conglomerate IAC/InterActiveCorp IACI.O is taking a minority stake in the HealthCentral Network, an owner of Web sites that focus on specific health disorders for their communities of patients.
