BNY MELLON (BK.N)
The financial services company announced David Brown joined as vice-president for Broker-Dealer Global Sales. Brown is based in Hong Kong and reports to Dominick Falco, managing director, Broker-Dealer Services for Asia. Brown joins from JP Morgan Chase (JPM.N), where he was a vice president.
BARCLAYS WEALTH (BARC.L)
The British bank's wealth manager and advisor has hired Ruth Davis as director of client management, for the ultra high net worth market (UNHW) in UK & Ireland and EMEA. Davis will report to Paul Ford, Chief Operating Officer, UHNW EMEA. Ruth joins from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L), where she was a programme manager in the global banking & markets division.
The investment bank announced the appointments of Nick Firoozye as head of European interest rates strategy and Ann Wyman as head of European emerging markets research. Firoozye joins Nomura from Citadel Investment group where he was head of fixed income quantitative research. Ann Wyman joins Nomura from Citigroup (C.N) where she most recently a senior economist for the economic and political strategies group in New York.
The bank made three new hires to its equity distribution team in South Korea -- Eric Yun, head of domestic sales, Jay Koo, head of international sales, and Joon Park, head of sales trading. They will report to Sam Paik, head of Korea equity for BNP Paribas Securities Asia. Yun joins from UBS Securities where he headed the domestic equity sales team. Koo formerly held senior equity sales position at JP Morgan, while Park was head of the sales trading team of Samsung Securities.
The asset management firm promoted Don Salama, formerly head of New York Life Retirement Plan Services (RPS), to the new position of chief strategy officer. It also hired Drew Lawton, formerly with Fidelity Investments, as a senior managing director and to serve as RPS chief executive.
The private equity fund hired Suzanne Yoon and David McReynolds directors for its new offices in Chicago and Los Angeles. Yoon, who will be based in Chicago, was formerly a senior vice-president of CIT's National Restructuring Group, while McReynolds, who will be based in Los Angeles, was previously a principal at American Capital Ltd.
The advisory, restructuring and investment firm appointed Jeffrey Lerner as chief business development officer in its asset appraisal and valuation group. Lerner was formely a founding partner and president of Great American Group Advisory & Valuation Services. (Compiled by Viraj Nair in Bangalore)
