Feb 11 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 1430 GMT on Monday.

** Yahoo (YHOO.O: Cotización) is seeking to restart merger talks with AOL (TWX.N: Cotización) as a means of defending itself against an unsolicited bid approach from Microsoft (MSFT.O: Cotización), the Times newspaper said.

** Yahoo Inc (YHOO.O: Cotización) rejected Microsoft Corp's (MSFT.O: Cotización) unsolicited takeover bid, currently valued at $42 billion, as too low, saying its board had unanimously concluded it was not in the best interests of shareholders. [nWNAS0353]
