UPDATE 1-Deutsche Bank cuts target on six US banks, brokers

April 1 (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank expects large U.S. banks and brokers to record an additional loss of $50 billion in the first half of 2008 and cut its estimates on six U.S. banks and brokers, including Merrill Lynch MER.N and Lehman Brothers LEH.N.

The brokerage cited "an acceleration in home price declines, lower indices and possibly newer issues with monolines, such as problems with insurance on home equity securitizations."
